Company History
McKey Perforating has a legacy that spans over 150 years, beginning in 1860. The company opened its New Berlin, Wisconsin location in 1972. In 1982, McKey acquired Toepfer and Sons, Inc., a perforating services firm established in Milwaukee in 1855 and the oldest perforator in the U.S. In 2000, McKey built and opened a second manufacturing facility, in Manchester, TN. This operation not only houses state-of-the-art perforating services equipment for both coil and sheet work, but also has a one-of-a-kind perforated, laser welded custom tube mill.
On February 1, 2012, McKey Perforating was acquired by Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co. through its subsidiary, Diamond Manufacturing Company, the largest perforator in North America.
